As we welcome 2009, if information is on our website it is correct and able to be used. As information become available to us in 2009 we will either add that information to the proper page or create a new page to put the information on.
 
The mission of WSANA is to provide information that will allow individuals with disabilities to live independently in and contribute to the community in which they live. We also hope this information will be of assistance to family and friends of an individual with a disability to understand and see how they can help.

WSANA is the highly recognized 501-C-3  not-for-profit corporation with contacts all the way from Washington D. C. to the local area that maintains this website and thus we rely on donations.
 
WSANA when contacted via e-mail, phone or by people with disabilities makes them aware of services and programs in their area that will benefit them. 

Because of how much our website has grown as well as making www.wsana.org more accessible and easier to use.WSANA has started in January of 2009 to create a more easier to use website .This website will catergorize all posts on the website. The temporary address of the new website is www.wsana.org/blog. You are able to visit the new website now. Please note that at this point google will not take you to the new site. Please use Yahoo to see our beautiful new website. We hope by January 15th or before to have the new website completed. WSANA attends resident council meetings at senior citizen buildings to make their citizens aware of new programs and services as well as constantly informed of current programs.

When describing a person with a disability or talking with them we ask that you be sure you are using proper language. Be sure that you use people or individual with______ versus the ___ boy or man.

WSANA has started to vist providers and become more familiar with the actual services and programs each provides.

WSANA was honored in April of 2008, when State Representative Deborah Graham sponsored a Resolution
(H.R. 1196) which was co-sponsored by State Representative Karen Yarbrough honoring WSANA for its actions since its begining and turning the milestone of 100,000 visitors to our website. 

WSANA held its second benefit concert on January 2,2009. WSANA was able to raise $1,000 due to the concert. We thank all the bands who donated their excellent talent, this money will assist us in maintaining our website as well as our informational and outreach efforts.
